1.1 HAS ARRIVED MORE DETAILS BELOW

1.1 has come and i have checked it out. it is really nice.

here are a list of some of the new features

-ladders no longer have a collision box so they act like vines when walking into them
-bows have 4 new enchantments (power,fire,infinitey and punch)
-apples have a 1/200 chance of dropping from trees
-golden apples require nugets instead of blocks to craft now
-eggs that allow you to spawn specific mobs (creative only but i have some future plans for these)
-potions take 20 secs to add an ingrediant into the potion
-biomes have a smoother transition so spawn water isnt light blue and instantly black
-golden apples heal less food and regenerate for only 4 secconds now :/
-sheep regain wool when eating grass
-56 new languages encluding canadian ?
-alot of bugfixes and random stuff i will put in a spoiler below (you should check them out they are interesting)

i noticed that both Dizzy and Cody seem new to managing a server and i am guessing that this is their first time running a server while the game has updated. i however have had a server since 1.2 and i have quite a bit experience with updating the server. my guess is that we are going to wait for bukkit to update their server snapshot. based on previous bukkit updates it could take 2days - 2 weeks+ for them to update.

also i would like to point out that minecraft.net servers are going down for maintenance today. 8:00-12:00 uct i believe. so you will most likely not be able to connect during this time.

my final note is that if anybody has updated to 1.1 and does not have a backup of the 1.0 minecraft.jar i may be able to help you. just send me a pm.
